It would seem that the title of the upcoming Dragonball movie from 20th Century Fox has been changed to “Dragonball: Evolution”.
This comes as little surprise following what we’ve seen of the movie so far coupled with Fox’s track record of marketing their films to Mountain Dew chugging, Base-Jumping X-Treme sports athletes.

DragonballEvolutionMovie.com currently takes you to foxmovies.com and an overseas trailer leaked today that features the new title:

I suppose that we should be thankful that Fox didn’t dumb the title down to “DBZ” although I wouldn’t put it past them should a sequel be greenlit.

Dragonball: Evolution is “Written” and “directed” by James Wong and stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung , Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson. It is slated to drop into North American theaters April 8 2009.
