Time Capsule and Majin Vegeta
Coming back from a shopping trip, I have the following to report:
Target has reduced Trunks’ Time Capsule to $8.90. Someone has massacred the two at my local Target, but other stores might have some that are yet unmolested.
Also, I can finally confirm without a doubt that yellow-haired Majin Vegeta is out, as I picked one up at Wal-Mart, mingled in a case of series 8 figures. Pictures coming soon.

In the August issue of Diamond Previews, there are two limited edition versions of Dragonball Z Filmcardz Tins! Each tin will feature eye-popping Dragonball Z graphics inside and out, and will contain 5 hobby packs of Dragonball Z Filmcardz, a DBZ Filmcardz viewer, and an exclusive T1 or T2 Filmcardz, and are limited to 1000 pieces.
The art on the tins is beautiful, as you can see here and here.

Dragonball Z I-Men, from Toynami
Toynami has just announced the first three lineups for their new series of block figures, I-Men. Before we reveal them, however, let’s look at what the I-Men are:The I-Men lie about halfway between Stickfas and Kubricks when it comes to articulation, meaning they’re decently posable. Each character comes with a metallic coin, which is actually useful as a stand for the figures, as the figures have magnets in their feet. Furthermore, these are the only figures on this scale to have a light-up action!
The figures will be sequentially numbered, and sold in blister-card two-packs.
The big news for us is that the third lineup of these figures, after Robotech and Hanna Barbara, is our own Dragonball Z!
The announced DBZ lineup includes:
- *021 Goku
- *022 Super Saiyan Gohan
- *023 Vegeta
- *024 Super Saiyan Trunks (Tank Top)
- *025 Gohan
- *026 Super Saiyan Goku
- *027 Trunks
- *028 Super Saiyan Vegeta
- *029 Piccolo
- *030 Super Saiyan Trunks (Armor)
We’ll have images on these little guys soon, so check back often!
Check out Figures.com for images of the first two series, to get an idea what the DBZ figures will be like.
This is new blood for the Dragonball Z franchise, just what we need to get us through a summer of reruns!
UPDATE: Price point! Each Dragonball Z two-pack will have an SRP of $8.99 - $9.99, as each two-pack will include one light-up I-Men figure, and one regular figure.
