SPONSOR NEWS: Action-HQ brings it to you FIRST with the Hottest Dragon Ball Figures EVER!
Check out the newest DBZ figures from Action-HQ!
Ultimate Figure Series:
When they labeled this series Ultimate, they definitely meant it! Realistically stylized paint job and sculpt, these are some amazing 5” tall figures. Very comparable to McFarlane figures or at least the best you can get for Dragon Ball Z characters. But the most highly prized aspect of these figures is their 19 pt articulation. You can pretty much pose them in any battle ready position. Also, the vest comes off the figures and an extra set of hands are included (open hands & fists). These just release brand new series are from Bandai Asia 2003.
- Songoku
- Vegeta
- Vegetto
Each at just $15.95!
Set of 6 Imagination Figures:
When Bandai Asia created this series, they definitely were on the right track. These diaramas from of your favorite figures from the 3 series are highly stylized and posed for ACTION! And the quality on these are superb with both colored and clear soft pvc plastic. Sizes vary but are around 4” tall. Just released and made by Bandai Asia 2003. Get the set of 6 for just $22.95!

Changes on the figure pages
I’ve changed the way that images are displayed on the individual figure pages - now, instead of having the image on the page, which is updated when you click one of the thumbnails, only the thumbs appear on the figure page, and the large images open up in a new window.
Just thought you all might like to know.
If you’re interested in the order that I’m going to be addressing tasks, click the “continue reading” link.

What’s new at Bandai Asia
Bandai Asia has sections devoted to both the new DBZ Ultimate Figure Series (scroll down) and the new Gashapon series, Dragonball Z Imagination Figures (ah, the subtlety of Japanese names), which are set for release this month, according to the website.
If you haven’t already, add Bandai Asia to your bookmarks!

Bandai Ultimate Figure Series - Detailed Images
Blackjack from the DBT Message Boards sent in the following pictures of the new Bandai Ultimate Figure Series wave 1 figures!
- Front shot of Gokou with the shirt removed and the extra pair of hands
- Front shot of Vegeta with the armor removed and the extra pair of hands
- Vegetto still in the package
- Back of the package
- Notice the package is from Bandai H.K. and is not intended for sales in USA. I wonder what package will the people get from the online store?
- Gokou and Vegeta seem to be in scale relative to each other, not like the figures from Irwin.
- Back shot of Gokou and Vegeta. The feet are made too small. It will take minutes to make Vegeta stand.
- Figures with the head and hands removed. They are exchangeable.
- Gokou without the shirt. Notice the shadow on the muscle and the pant.
- Bandai doesn’t call it Full Action Figure for no reason. You can put the character in almost any pose that a person can.
- The ball joins under the arm pit and under the waist are not painted! How could they?
- Notice the shadowing effect on Vegeta’s body. The shadow on the glove is over-done.
- OK, family picture time. Gokou is in scale with Irwin’s Chi-chi but the Jakks Gohan is a little bit large.
- Saiyan group picture. Again, the UFS is scaled smaller than the Irwin’s. My guess is 1/12.
- Something went wrong with the de-fusion process.

JAKKS DBZ 2-Packs Series 3 Lineup
According to Atamaii.com, JAKKS’ third series of Dragonball Z 2-Packs will feature a father & son theme. The lineup includes:
- Vegeta & Trunks
- Goku & Gohan
- Bardock & Goku
Obviously, the Bardock figure will be an original mold, and based on the second series, I think it’s a safe assumption that the other figures will be original molds as well.

Toys R Us 7-Pack pictures
Saiyan has posted photos of each of the figures included in the Toys R Us Exclusive 7-Pack on the DBT message boards. The pictures include shots of the exclusive Police Goten (not Gohan, as it says on the box) and Police Trunks, as well as comparison shots on the Irwin re-deco figures.

A new CMS for Dragonballtoys.com!
As I’ve had it up to here —— with DBT’s old content system, I’m switching over to the tried and true Movable Type. It’s a much more versatile system, that I’m much more comfortable with.
I’ve imported all of the old Coranto entries, you can now search the entire history of news at Dragonballtoys.com!
The “Submit News” feature has been temporarily disabled, while I work up how to do auto-signup in MT.
I’ll be tweaking the remaining elements that need it (comment form, etc) tomorrow, and the whole process should be completed by this weekend.
