Legato, CCA has yet
to be dubbed or officialy released in the US.
But, in Japan it just got a DVD release, so now would
be a good time to look around online for places that
sell Japanese movies or Gundam merchandise(If I find I
site with it available I'll tell you).
For VHS, you will need to find it fansubbed, I
suggest roaming your local mall for quite some time,
maybe you'll find it...
Note: Char found a great little shop in the mall for
Gundam stuff(including Japanese graphic novels), but it
dissapeared...

Tell me, is it one of
the Gundam movie trilogy? If it is, it IS a VHS release
and I believe it's dubbed too.

No, the MSG Trilogy
is basically a "smushed together" version of the
series(Mobile Suit Gundam), with some added footage.

Oh, ok.
Hey, has anyone seen the first Kenshin DVD? I really
just bought it on a whim and now am hooked. It's odd,
but it reminds me a lot on Trigun. More on that at a
later date.

talk about Ninja Scroll at this point, just bring in
some inteligent conversation!

hmmmmm, how many of you have seen Patlabor? I'm planning
on buying a few episodes of this series. I would like to
hear your opinions.

I've heard of
it...never seen it though. I think Cland97 might have
seen it, but you'd have to ask him.
Random Fact: In Japan, Gundam Wing's Duo Maxwell
and Trigun's Legato Bluesummers are voiced by the same
VA.
I'm adding a random fact to each post I make on this
thread.

Well I cant really
share much info on Patlabor, Ive seen one movie or OVA
wasnt too sure what it was. It was pretty good for an
old series. I wouldnt recomend buying it, but if your
getting it for free or renting it go right ahead!
Hey can I do random facts also? Takeshi/Brock
(pokemon) and Sanosuke (Kenshin) are linked by the same
VA Ueda Yuji. Im full of seiyuu info like that.

No kidding, really?
That's cool. Of course Sanosuke is much cooler than
Brock, he is (a little Kenshin joke for those who watch
it).
Random Fact: In Japan, Bulma Briefs of Dragonball
and Meryl Stripe of Trigun share the same voice actor.

Oh and here's two
things I should clear up.
1. There's no need to worry about board nazis on this
thread. Since we who post here are of a level of
maturity rare on the internet, (ooo i UsEd BIG
WOrdZ!!!!) we can all tell when someone's kidding.
Epecially in Portugy's case 2. Would everyone
please keep their dingledangles and other assoiated
things that should be covered on a regular basis
clothed. It's for the common good, trust me.
Random Fact: There's a SNES Tenchi game.

My turn! Brock's VA
in Pokemon (Eric Stuart) is also the voice of Gourry in
Slayers. Furthermore, the VA of numerous female trainers
in Pokemon (Lisa Oritz) is also the voice of Lina
Inverse in Slayers (look for it to show up on Fox this
month, heavily edited of course).
There's a Tenchi Muyo Sega Saturn game! There's also
one for the PSX!

I've had this idea in
my head for some time now: How many people would like to
see various anime series on HBO? I mean, it seems to
make sense, with HBO showing uncut movies and series all
of the time. Plus, they had Spawn (the animated series)
on for a while. Ultimately, I think it would be a great
idea if HBO starting showing uncut anime on their
network. What do you guys think?

Yes, Anime on HBO
would be cool I guess. YOu never see any sort of
animation on there since they stopped Spawn.
I caught anime on the International channel one night
by suprise. I had heard anime was on there but never
actually saw it. DBZ and Votoms.
My random anime fact for today: Vash (Trigun) and
big Keroberos (CardCaptor Sakura) are done by the same
VA

one of the WORST anime movies I've ever seen (almost as
bad as Samurai Showdown, Art Of Fighting, and Panzer
Dragoon).

I thought it was
poorly written. The lack of character devoment for Law,
Paul, Yoshimitsu, King, etc. bothered me. That and Anna
got her head chmped off by a raptor. Lameness.
Also, Young Gohan, please use correct grammer. I
could really care less about spelling, but it makes
people like you more whne you use the shift key. Not to
dis you or anything but I like to keep my thread neat.

The only video game
anime ive ever seen has been the Vampire
Savior/Darkstalkers OVA's and I thought it was pretty
well done.
Ive also seen Arc the lad, but ive never played the
games so I cant really comment.

Come to think of it,
outside of Darkstalkers (I still have yet to see SFII:
The Animated Movie, SFII V TV series, Fatal Fury OVA's,
and Street Fighter Alpha), there really aren't very many
good anime movies/series based on video games. However,
I still wouldn't mind seeing a Soul Calibur anime (the
one exception is that it should be an OVA series, not a
movie).

insane_ben, I've seen
one of the Fatal Fury OVA's. I didn't like it all that
much, either.(One thing I didn't like is the way the
characters were animated, their head sizes were
mis-proportioned...) But thats not to say others
wouldn't like it.

I saw the SF2
Animated flick. It was so-so, better than Tekken. The
fight scenes were very well done. Notable examples: Fei
Long vs Ryu, Vega vs. Chun Li (one of my favorite fight
secnes ever, real or animated), and the big clusterfrick
at the end involving Ryu, Ken, Bison, Guile, Balrog, and
Honda. Coolness. I think Dee Jay should've fought, but
beggars can't be choosers.
Random Fact: In the game Super Smash Bros.,
Captain Falcon is voiced by Japanese Vegeta's VA.
